Research Interests

My research mainly focuses on investigating the role of visual attentional deficit in developmental dyslexia at both behavioral and neural levels. I have been devoted to exploring the cognitive and neural mechanisms of visual spatial attention shifting in adults and children (both normal children and dyslexia children) using eye-tracking and EEG techniques. I found that attention shifting deficit of dyslexia is due to the sluggish attentional disengagement. I am now interested in better understanding the attentional disengagement deficit and the correlation between this deficit with reading processing in dyslexic children across different writing system (Italian and Chinese dyslexic children).
